Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) Payer Positioning - Used proprietary database of US payers to conduct primary research into the future of AID reimbursement in the US.  Additionally, conducted extensive secondary research OUS to develop keys to AID commercial success by individual country.

CHALLENGE:

The company wanted to dive deeper into the data from prior Seagrove research and conduct additional qualitative research to develop a thorough understanding of the current payer dynamics and future direction of coverage for AID systems and pumps in the US and also identify top commercial markets OUS.

SOLUTION:

Used Seagrove proprietary database of US payers to conduct primary research into the future of AID reimbursement in the US.  Additionally, conducted extensive secondary research OUS to develop keys to commercial success by individual country.

PROCESS:

  • Conducted Research: Payer group discussions included some of the top payers in the country.  The discussions initially focused on DME vs. pharmacy coverage decisions as well as a review of the proposed AID product.

  • Developed Insights: Utilized payer research to develop recommendations for final product development and roadmap to maximize commercial coverage.

  • Identified Top OUS Markets: Developed market size, opportunity, reimbursement insights, etc. to prioritize top OUS markets for initial AID product launch as well as keys to success.
