Chris Gilbert
In 2022, HarborSide Associates was formed in partnership with Seagrove Partners. Prior to starting HarborSide Associates, Chris spent two years with Seagrove Partners as VP of Insights and Strategy and Head of the Custom Consulting practice. Prior, Chris was VP of Marketing for Insulet Corporation, where he led the launch of Omnipod DASH and helped the company achieve profitability while adding over 100K customers.
Prior to Insulet, Chris was the Head of Surgical Marketing at Hologic, where he successfully led 7 product launches in the surgical division resulting in over $300 million in revenue. Chris holds an MBA from Babson College, is a CPA, and received a BS in Accounting from Boston College. He resides in Norton, MA

Ashlyn Smith, PA-C
Moderator and Advisor
Ashlyn joined Endocrinology Associates in 2013 after practicing in internal medicine and pediatric endocrinology. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in 2008 and her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. She was a recipient of the 2019 America’s Top PA Award and serves as President on the board of directors for the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants. Ashlyn has a passion for teaching fellow providers at a variety of medical education programs and for fostering the next generation of physician assistants as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Midwestern University.
Ellie Kagan, CRNP
Moderator and Advisor
Ellie is a Nurse Practitioner at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. In addition to her full-time role in taking care of children and families living with Type 1 Diabetes, Ellie has a keen interest in diabetes technology and has participated in a number of HarborSide projects on topics ranging from new CGM systems, Automated Insulin Delivery, and recent telehealth initiatives. Ellie went to graduate school at the University of Maryland and medical school at Columbia University.
